Argan Oil + Garden Ingredients = Happy Hair
Free of parabens, sulfates, silicones, and synthetic fragrances – this 2.7-oz tallow-based bar features organic argan oil plus our favorite garden ingredients that help support hair health and growth.
Argan oil has been reported to offer antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant activity as well as hair protection and skin water retention benefits (see References). Argan oil is also one of our favorite oils at Little Leaf Pharms for luxuriously conditioning and restoring "thirsty" hair.
Garden-based ingredients that help power this bar include therapeutic-grade essential oils of rosemary, sage, lavender, peppermint, and thyme (see References) – as well as some lesser known but prized infusions of:
- Fenugreek seed
- Okra
- Sweet potato
Sweet potato and okra both demonstrate anti-fungal activity while fenugreek demonstrates anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activity (see References). Reportedly, okra and fenugreek infusions may also contribute to a conditioning "slip" quality in hair products, which may contribute to hydrating and smoothing hair.
Organic Indigo for Natural, Antioxidant-Rich Color
The addition of organic indigo – derived from the antioxidant-rich plant Indigofera tinctoria – gives this bar its naturally rich, dark blue coloring – which may also, in some hair types, help temporarily and mildly tone down hair coloring that has excessive orange or yellow tones (see References).
Suggested Use
Never used a shampoo bar? Rub the bar back and forth against your wet hair or against a sponge to get the rich lather started, then massage throughout your hair and scalp before rinsing out.
For an extra nourishing hair treatment, let the shampoo stay in your hair for several minutes before rinsing out. Follow up with a natural conditioner free of synthetic toxins and fragrance.
New to using a NATURAL shampoo bar?
Your hair may take several washes to slowly adapt and transition away from commerical shampoos that may leave chemical deposits in your hair.
Once you make the transition to non-toxic shampoo bars and watch your hair restore to health, you may never wish to go back to commercial liquid shampoos!
Does a natural shampoo bar really lather up enough?
Yes! A natural shampoo bar can really lather up without all the chemicals found in commercial liquid shampoos.
Our shampoo bars include carefully selected natural ingredients (such as organic castor oil, organic coconut oil, and in this case – organic apple cider vinegar – see Ingredients), all of which help the bar produce a rich – and healthy – lather for easy and luxurious hair-washing.
